The Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies DMS programme is ideal for:

  • recent graduates who wish to broaden their awareness of strategic thinking and decision making
  • graduates with two years relevant work experience who intend to study on an MBA programme
  • experienced business managers with several years professional experience who are looking to enhance their career with a world class MBA programme

So while you can complete the DMS as a stand-alone qualification, it also serves as the access course to our MBA Top Up programme.
A Pre-Master’s course combining the DMS with 3 months English Language training is also avaiable, with courses starting any Monday.

What you will learn on the programme

The postgraduate DMS introduces the business environment and strategic management knowledge required for the various operational functions of an organisation. You will also become familiar with international management practice and the development of effective business cultures. This programme is designed to improve your communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, as well as your overall strategic thinking. You will obtain a well balanced understanding of key business functions including Finance, Marketing, Human Resources Operations and Strategic Management.

Looking to the Future

The DMS programme acts as the access course to our MBA Top-Up programme, meaning you can study for a further 9 months after you have completed your DMS and obtain an MBA.
If you decide to take the DMS as a stand-alone programme you will, on completion, be in a position to undertake managerial roles within both commercial as well as non-commercial sectors.

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • A UK recognised Undergraduate Degree
    (plus 2 years work experience)
  • IELTS 6.0 for non-native English speakers
    Recognised equivalents of the above qualifications are acceptable
